Alumni Conference, August 3-5, 2023

Thanks to the continued generosity of a long-time donor, the first off-campus alumni conference was realized on August 3-5, 2023. The conference was held at a beautiful resort on Lake Naivasha in Kenya. The conference was attended with 129 in attendance… 69% of all DPTC alumni plus staff.

The weekend was full of activities. There were introductions and pastor updates, praise and worship, speakers, 15 Years of DPTC History in pictures, looking forward and sharing dreams. Attendees participated in team-building, alumni regional meetings, enjoyed delicious and abundant food, an evening around the bonfire, and interacting with the resident hippos.

It had been five years since the last alumni conference due to the extensive COVID shutdowns. The alumni were excited to catch up with their friends and fellow classmates. It was such a positive, happy and productive occasion. Gathering the alumni like this is the best way to revitalize morale, stimulate individual ministries and engender a sense of belonging to a greater kingdom ministry.  Now we look forward to what can happen in the different alumni regions as they build upon the framework enabled for them. Some regions are already initiating multi-church evangelism and other events joining their churches together in ministry.
