John Wachira’s Story

This week, we are sharing the story of John Wachira. John came to Divine
Providence from Kiambu in 2012, and graduated with the class of 2014. His passion is to support
and encourage his community’s youth, as many young people still struggle with drug addiction.

He shares, “My area of my ministry is mainly to equip the youth to face the world in confidence.
In Kiambu, the outskirts of Nairobi, young people are dying when still young because of drug
abuse and drunkenness. My future plan is to buy land and build a polytechnic school for training
youth in various professions.”
