Martin Peter Kimani Maturi’s Story

Originally from Nekuru, Martin is the firstborn of nine siblings. He came to faith in Christ after he had come to the end of himself. No one witnessed to him, but God reached out to his heart through observing the life of his aunt. He is serving in Nekuru as a pastor at Holy Ghost Restoration Chapel.

This week, we are sharing the story of Martin Muturi, who came to us from the Kikuyu tribe. Martin’s journey with Christ began at a time when he was feeling hopeless and wanted his life to end. However, Martin felt that God was reaching out to him. With an aunt that inspired him by the way she lived her life, Martin was able to discover Christ and accept him into his heart. He discovered Divine Providence and was a graduate of the 2019 class of pastors. Today, he is a pastor with the Holy Ghost Restoration Chapel.

It is so encouraging to witness so many ways that God is able to reach out to us to fit our individual needs. Though able to perform miracles, sometimes He opts for a gentler approach and allows us to witness him through the lives of those around us. We are all vessels of love for His kingdom, and it is beautiful to see how that can impact other people’s lives. Today, we are grateful for the life of Martin’s aunt, who inspired a devoted servant of the Word to discover God’s love for the first time. Please be praying for Martin, as he continues to minister to his church, encouraging others to live a life for Christ.
