Jackson Kimeu’s Story
“God changed me, and He gave me a ministry of healing. That is why I called my church “Life and Heling Gospel”, because God gives me the chance to heal others.”
This week, we are sharing the story of Jackson Kimeu, who comes from the tribe of Kamba. Jackson is currently a student with Divine Providence and will be graduating this upcoming November of 2023. Growing up, Jackson was raised in a family of witch doctors.
When he turned 17 years old, his father wanted to initiate him as a witch doctor. However, because Jackson found Christ the same year, he did not want to be initiated into the family’s generational practice of witch doctorism. So, he ran away. For a time, Jackson’s father chased him and tried to kill him for leaving the practice, but Jackson continued to have faith in God. During an interview this past October, he shared with me his passion for his ministry, “God changed me, and He gave me a ministry of healing. That is why I call my church ‘Life and Healing Gospel’, because God gives me the chance to heal others.” While in school, Jackson is expanding his skill and knowledge of sharing the gospel with others, as he continues to preach to his congregation at Life and Healing gospel ministry.
